Answering Your FAQs
Why was IGRPS founded?
IGRPS was created as a primarily youth-led think tank to bridge the gap between ideas and action. We recognized the need for a platform where research, policy insight, and civic engagement could come together to empower leaders and communities, especially from a youth-oriented perspective. Our goal is to turn thoughtful analysis into tangible solutions, inspire a new generation of global citizens and leaders, and foster meaningful change in society.
What is the central mission of IGRPS?
IGRPS is dedicated to advancing research, policy innovation, and civic engagement. We aim to empower leaders, communities, and emerging scholars to turn bold ideas into actionable solutions that drive meaningful change locally and globally.
When and Where was IGRPS founded?
IGRPS was created on August 15th, 2025 in Seoul, South Korea.
Who can get actively involved with IGRPS?
Our NGO is open to students, young professionals, researchers, and anyone interested in history, politics, philosophy, economics, anthropology, or public policy. We offer a host of experiences and activities that will undoubtedly support your visions and aspirations.
How does IGRPS conduct its work as a think tank?
We combine rigorous research, strategic advising, and hands-on initiatives. Through publications, policy briefs, seminars, and service projects, we connect ideas to real-world impact, bridging the gap between theory and action.
Is IGRPS affiliated with any political party or government?
No. IGRPS is a non-partisan, not-for-profit institute. Our focus is on evidence-based research, innovation, and civic engagement, allowing us to work with diverse leaders and communities without political bias.
Can I contribute to IGRPS if I'm not based in South Korea?
Yes. IGRPS operates with a global mindset and offers many opportunities for remote involvement. You can contribute by joining virtual research teams, attending webinars, submitting articles to our publications, volunteering for online initiatives, or participating in global campaigns and dialogues hosted by the organization.
What makes IGRPS different from other youth-focused NGOs or think tanks?
Unlike many organizations that either focus solely on academic research or on grassroots activism, IGRPS was founded to collapse that divide. We're youth-led but intergenerational, academically grounded but action-driven, global in outlook but rooted in local realities. Our hybrid model allows us to move fluidly between the classroom, the policymaker's desk, and the street corner.
Will IGRPS be open to expansion and collaboration?
Absolutely. IGRPS was founded on the belief that meaningful change thrives through collective effort. We are actively open to expanding our reach, both geographically and intellectually, by partnering with individuals, institutions, and organizations that share our commitment to research, civic engagement, and social innovation. Whether it's through joint research, co-hosted events, academic exchanges, or grassroots collaborations, we welcome partnerships that challenge us, enrich our work, and amplify our impact. For us, collaboration isn’t a strategy; much more than that, it’s a core value for IGRPS.
